The blues rock guitarist first made a name for himself in the band
Bloodline, which released its debut album in 1994 when Joe was 17. Since
then, he has carved a distinctive path that has made him one of the
premiere electric guitarists
playing rock and blues today. His recent DVD from the Albert Hall
features Eric Clapton guesting on guitar, while his new group - Black
Country Communion - has Joe B teaming up with rock stalwarts Glenn
Hughes, Jason Bonham, and Derek Sherinian.
Bonamassa's
ability to fuse blues, rock, prog and even jazz garnered him a "Best
Overall Guitarist" award from Guitar Player Magazine this year, and his
2010 solo album, "Black Rock," debuted at #1 on the Billboard blues
charts. The National GUITAR Museum is pleased to announce that Joe B is now part of our distinguished Guitarist Board of Advisors (joining Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Howe, Liona Boyd, Johnny Winter, Steve Vai, among others). He'll also serve as an NGM curator for vintage and unusual instruments. Keep up with with Bonamassa at http://www.jbonamassa.com/ as well as at http://www.facebook.com/JoeBonamassa
