If you’re looking for simpler terms you can go with recording artist, bandleader, sideman as well as prolific educator and author.
RICH MALOOF (ACOUSTIC) Your extremely capable guide to the world of guitar is Rich Maloof. Formerly the Editor In Chief of Guitar magazine, Rich has produced a ton of instructional content for musicians, including the book series The Way They Play, Alternate Tunings for Guitar, Joe Satriani - Riff By Riff, the biography of amp legend Jim Marshall, and many more notable titles.
JEFF MCERLAIN (BLUES) nspired by Beck, Hendrix and Page in his early years, he attended the Berklee College of Music where he was introduced to legends like Coltrane, Miles and Monk. After school, he headed to New York City, where he hooked up with Liquid Hips, a funk-metal group. Jeff also produces and writes music and has a successful teaching practice.
JOE DALTON (COUNTRY) When country guitar master Joe Dalton picks up a six-string; everyone listens. He’s not only a country guitar wizard, he’s also an accomplished drummer, and keyboardist. Dalton has written feature articles for Guitar Player Magazine, How to Play Guitar and Fingerstyle Guitar.
FRANK VIGNOLA (JAZZ) Frank is one of the most accomplished, multi-dimensional players walking
the planet today. Monster player, composer and improviser, Frank plays
proficiently in every genre, from jazz to bluegrass, and works with
everyone and their brother. Frank’s pedigree is a mile long, but a quick
Google will illustrate why he is considered one of the best on the
planet.
RAVI (BEGINNER) Ravi is an accomplished singer/songwriter who shot to worldwide fame at a young age as the guitarist for the '90's band Hanson. Hanson's triple Grammy nominated chart-topping song "MmmBop" catapulted the band into the spotlight, taking Ravi to stages at the White House, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Rosie O'Donnell, and Madison Square Garden, as well as the Louisiana Superdome as a solo artist.
